We had a rash of hacked accounts due to some members using the same password across multiple sites. Several cutlery sales sites got hacked within the last several years. Credentials were exposed and published on sites devoted to scammers. Several entities got hold of the credentials and used them to access that member's BF account. They then grabbed pictures and descriptions from various sites and posted bogus sales threads.
Therefore, we now have the requirement to show evidence that the knives being sold are actually in the possession of the seller.
That's why there is a notice in the header of every sales page in the exchange stating that such verification pictures are required for every sales thread.
