Ok, I have two Criswell swords with some wear and are in need of repair. Both have blunted tips and the Katana's tip has been broken at the very end. I contacted Mr. Criswell and he said he'd reshape the tips and sharpen them for $50.00 plus return shipping. I'm considering doing that but I am also going to consider just selling the set as is.
Both of these swords are in good condition. Don't let the tip condition fool you. All they need is a little reshaping at the tip and maybe a good polish. Everything else is rock solid and the edges other than at the tips are very sharp with no nicks chips or dings. I'd say the Katana is in 95% condition and the Waki is in 90% condition.
Both are out the door to their new owners.
WAKI IS GONE!
KATANA IS GONE!
A lot of the swirls are mineral oil. The white specks are lint, dust and stuff.
Here are some pics...
Both are .25" thick A2 Tool Steel
The Katana is huge. It's got like a 31" blade and 14" tsuka.
Broken tip on the Katana. Easily reshaped... it's just the very end.
Light spotting. Nothing major.
WAKI IS GONE
Tip of the waki (I began trying to reshape it with an edge-pro but gave up cause the steel is just too damn tough) You can see a little staining on the A2 Steel. It could stand a polish.
