This is a size XL level Spike 1 stab resistant vest. It is a carrier with front and rear panels designed for full concealable coverage. This was unissued as it sat in a quartermasters locker as well as a few basements for a long time without actually being used. There is some discoloration in a few spots on the white carrier, but it is not dirt. This was purchased by a correctional facility for use by officers when walking among inmates. Spike 1 is designed to protect against sharp points and improvised weapons. It will not stop a bullet. It is also a little lighter than ballistic armor but has just enough rigidity to eliminate any pain from a hit by an airsoft pellet at any velocity.
