SOLD>
Selling/trading my beloved Kimber Pro TLE RL II. I rarely shoot it, and I need fund$ for other things. :grumpy:
This one has been refinished in Melonite by Coal Creek Armory; Black Teflon-coated Heinie Straight-8 night sights installed by Coal Coal Creek Armory. S&A flat mainspring/magwell. VZ black/green linen micarta grips. Ambi safety. All steel parts of this gun are Melonized, including the grip screws. Rear of slide serrated to match the rear sight.
For those unfamiliar with Melonite, it's basically the same treatment as Glock's Tenifer, and is the most rust-resistant finish I've ever found.
Currently the gun has the Kimber FLGR that came with it (also Melonized), but I'm including a spare GI-setup. I just installed a new Wolff recoil spring. I'm including a new-in-package Wollf recoil/hammer spring kit, and a new spare Wolff hammer spring.
Comes with 2 mags: the Kimber-logo mag & a spare that looks exactly like the Kimber, but with no logo. Not sure if it's what came with the gun originally because I have a lot of 1911 mags all mixed together.
The ONLY problem with this gun is that I knocked the rear sight loose, and (like an idiot) I re-installed it myself & in the process bent the sight & cosmetically fudged it (moreso than the cosmetic fudging it acquired when it got knocked loose). It was only meant to be a temporary fix, but it's on securely, albeit slightly canted & beat-up. Read: ugly. You're going to need a new rear sight at some point.
Aside from the rear sight, this 1911 is in very good condition, and is beautiful in a subtle, utilitarian way. (I know I don't have to explain what that means to the folks on this forum).
Price is $1,100 shipped CONUS to FFL. I have a lot more into this gun, but I know I can't get it all back, especially considering the rear sight issue.
Payment via USPS MO or PayPal + 3.5% Will consider trade for a Busse SH2 + $$. I'm open to different kinds of SH2s...let me know what you have.
Although I'm a new member here, I have a lot of references on a lot of forums. My AR15.com screen name is Snail50, and I have almost 30 ++ feedbacks there.
This pic is of the gun before the rear sight incident.
