I just bought a used G-17 with the intention of having it as a house gun for my wife and daughter, both of whom are tall and have hands that can comfortably hold that pistol. After this weekend, I found out that their preference tends to go more to the G-19.
I'd like to see if I can trade this 17 for a 19, face to face in North Texas (I live in the DFW area). Here's a description of the pistol from the original owner's ad, with the modifications that were done to it. He was going to compete with it, but went back to a 1911.
For sale is a Gen. 3 Glock 17 in very good condition with the following upgrades:
- Heinie plain black rear sight
- Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight (plain black front sight also included)
- ISMI 13lbs. recoil spring (original spring also included)
- Extended G34 magazine release (stock magazine release also included)
- Jentra grip plug
- 3.5 lb trigger (stock trigger also included)
- Grip tape
- (2) full capacity magazines
- Black "tupperware" box and manuals
I'll add an additional magazine, for a total of three. The paperwork/manual is included. I just want a straight across the board trade, same number of magazines if possible. If you have any accessories, we can discuss that.
Thi is a very clean pistol and if I can't trade it, I'll be happy to keep it. I'm a 1911 guy all the way, so it won't see much use from me. I'll email pics to anyone who wants them.
