This is an older knife made of A2 steel. It's been my go-to hunting and outdoor knife for the last 10 years but it has not been abused or even used too heavily. Micarta scales. The JRE sheath sits a little lower than the sheath that came with the knife, and I do have that one too that I'd send with the knife. It's got some tarnish or patina on the blade (pictured) but it's all just cosmetic.
Honestly I like it quite a bit and I'm not dead-set on trading it but I would like to play around with something else if a reasonable trade can be made. I'd want something similar in size and shape--a do-it-all fixed blade for cleaning animals and bushcraft. Something with a pointier tip might be nice for getting into tight spots cleaning game. There are a handful of other Bark River knives I'd consider, I like a lot of the LT Wright knives I've seen as well, something along those lines. Hell, I'd even trade for another Bark River Highland Special if someone has one with different scales. I prefer wood or bone/antler/horn.
