I'm really torn by this one. On one had, the 707 Sequel seems to be the absolute perfect EDC knife.
1. It's very low profile:
2. It fits in the pocket very nicely without getting in the way of access to keys, cellphone, etc
3. The AXIS lock is addictive! I've never played with a knife as addictive as this.
4. It's easy to sharpen and the blade shape is good for all-round tasks and defensive maneuvers (if necessary)
That said, I'm a Spyderco fan. Even though I just sold my Delica 4 FFG, which I loved but for all the wrong (sentimental) reasons, I just love the Spydie-hole, the grip angles, and the copious jimping. Maybe I'm just a Spyderco fanboy.
Anyways, so I want to trade this lovely and probably superior 707 Sequel for something that is more in line with my preferences: a Spyderco folder. The 707 is in good condition overall, the lockup is good, the centering is good, and the finish is good. There is one small ship on one of the scales (see pictures), some wear on the pocket clip, and some minor wear on the scales near the pocket clip (see pictures.
VG-10 is ok, as I found it to be an OK steel on the Delica, but the 154cm on this Benchmade is better overall in my experience.
I'd be interested in any of the following and more (with steels as good or nicer than VG-10):
-Dragonfly
-Delica
-Endura
-Stretch (really want a stretch)
-PM2 (with cash on top of course)
-Calypso series
-Sage
-Native
-Chapparal
-Manix2
etc, etc.
Please PM me if you have anything (if for some reason PM doesn't work, please reply in this thread)
Thanks!
