Purchased a Benchmade 940 Osborne limited edition 1101 with black on black from bladeforums member very recently. Relevant thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...0-275-Bone-Collector-and-MT-Socom-Elite-20-CV!

Original owner described the knife as : BM 940 BK-1101. LNIB. Limited edition in box, #208 of 300 produced. Black anodized aluminum and coated blade. Nicely sharpened S30V on Japanese water stones to 12k and scary sharp. Never carried, cut some paper. Lock up perfect, blade a little left of center (not touching), but could be re-worked if so desired.

Description is accurate. Carried in pocket for all of one day, cut some newspaper, and otherwise examined by me. There are photos in that thread but I can provide more detailed photos / answer any questions on request. Comes with box and bag. I love Benchmade and had heard great things about the Osborne but it turns out it is not for me. I prefer the heavier, beefy folders like Adamas and Bedlam and don't have a taste for the gentleman's slicer that is the Osborne.

I'm looking for something of similar value that is more my taste. I love Benchmade, would be willing to sweeten the deal for a plain edge Contego, and am very interested in fixed blades or neck knives - especially the Nimravus.
