I have a nearly mint Bark River Bravo 1 with Midnight Tiger G10 handles and a swedge grind that I would consider trading for a Fiddleback Forge knife with a convex saber grind.
My Bravo just came back from getting the new handles and a spa treatment. I have stropped it carefully but have not yet cut anything. It was a safe queen before the re-handleing. Of course, it is hair popping sharp. It has the typical grind abnormalities found on Bark River Knives. It has a custom made Martin Swinkles "Technical Sheath". Google can show you this fellow's work if you are not familiar with him. The sheath includes the fire steel shown, barely used, an adapter for the thinner style fire steels, and also has a belt clip attachment to allow high carry. Without the attachment is is sideways-carry as shown on my pack. I also have the original letter that came with the sheath to prove it is from Swinkles. The sheath did have a low-carry belt loop that I removed because it made the knife difficult to remove from the sheath. The sheath is double layered leather and comes apart for cleaning. These sheaths cost about $150.00 new with a six month wait. They are made in the Netherlands.
As for trade, I would consider the following Fiddleback Forge knives as long as they have either a convex saber grind or a full convex grind. No scandi's for me.
Hunter
Bushfinger
Ladyfinger
and maybe others if you wanna send a pic, all I can say is no thank you.
If there is any interest in this offer I will take more detailed pics and put them up.
I'm not interested in splitting up the knife and sheath. I like them and plan to use them, but I have decided that I would really like to have a Bushfinger. Due to the value of the sheath, I'm interested in "evenish" trades only.
