I have a Buck Kalinga that I purchased at a knife show some years ago. I have never used, carried, or sharpened it. It comes with the box. I'm the second owner but I don't think the original owner really did much with it, although the foam or insert inside the box has seen better days. Love the looks of this very nice knife but just have an itch for something else. There is a slight blemish in the brass but it so slight that I couldn't get it to show up in the pics.
Would like to trade for one of the following in good shape, but used, carried, sharpened is ok:
Stripped Becker BK9 with Micarta scales
Stripped ESEE Junglas
Hattori hunter
Buck 124 with handle other than the standard black

If you have a trade offer that is not on my list you can always contact me. The worst case is I can say no thank you. I am not a big fan of black or serrated blades though.

Is this a collector's edition or something? I've not seen a display box like that with the few I've seen online.

Is it the standard 420HC?

Hi. I wish I knew but the person I bought this from had a lot of special and limited editions. He was a guy who said he new the Buck family. This was at the Shenandoah Valley Annual Blade show. I think it's one of the largest back East. It has been so long I honestly can't remember now. I won't be home til tomorrow but will look to see what it says on the tang stamp. It is a very nice looking, heavy knife. Never used it or carried or sharpened it. I take it out of the drawer and admire it, plus put on hand applied Flitz metal Polish.

I have now looked with a magnifying glass but there is no indication of the kind of steel. The only tang stamp says Buck Kalinga USA. There is a small pamphlet that comes with it. The pages have yellowed which might mean it is an older piece but can't say for sure.
