Got a user NO-E I'm thinking of letting go of here. Had a buddy try to sell it for me at auction but times are just hard right now and no one has any cash. SO I wanna see what trades might be out there. The coating has been stripped from most of the blade, there is some still in the dimples and on the bottom of the tang and between the handle slabs. It's got the older greenish Busse micarta that was designated as black. The handle scales have been rounded in front to make the knife more comfortable. It was done by hand with sand paper... no power tools. But it did remove the coating right at the handle scale edge. the blade under the coating is hazy... I think it looks neat but it could be easlily bead blasted or polished no prob. Here's the cool part, Bill Siegle took the assymetrical grind off of this blade and put a RAZOR sharp V Grind and penetrator tip. Overall the knife is not a pretty safe queen but 100% function. No nicks, chips, or dings in the edge. As it came from Bill... though I stropped it a a little. This is pre-laser cut so it has the rough cut spine. This one is different than most NO-Es I've seen. It's blade is a little wider. I used to own three of them and this one stayed because it was such a hoss. But... I really don't use it so I'm seeing what else is out there. It has two sheaths, a nice kydex without tek lock and a factory busse cordura sheath in OD Green... which has a giant letter R written on it in sharpie... maybe a last initial or something.
Straight up trades would be something like another Busse knife close in value. I'd really like to get something between this model and the Battle Mistress... something like maybe a FSH or something (no idea what their values are). Something with an 8ish inch blade maybe that's around .25" thick. The more spear point the better though like perhaps a beater SH-E or something. Will also consider most Busse knives with an orange handle. Otherwise my trade interests include the following...
