I am in the process of working on a knife similar to the one pictured here:
The knife is loosely based on Fred Perrin's Street Bowie concept. This particular knife went to Fred's buddy, Nemo. The one I am working on is just sort of sitting here right now. I thought I had pics, but looking on my HD I found out I don't. It has been roughly profiled and the blade isn't shaped yet, so lots of options remain on final blade shape and stuff.
Blade will probably end up being about 4", but I can measure to confirm and send some pics of the work in progress. Will be 1084 with convex/almost flat (I do all my knives with hand files, so all blades are a bit on the convex side) grind on both sides, although I could do a convex chisel, too, if that's your thing. I do diffeerential heat treating with triple temper and etch the blades to reveal the hamon. I can do a normal quench where the temper line follows a smooth curve or a Japanese style clay heat treat.
For handle options I have tons of wood, lots of Micarta, some G-10, and a boatload of carbon fiber that supposedly is the same stuff used on F-15 fighter jets!
I'm pretty open to trades. For lights I'd want something custom ala McLux, modded stuff, etc. For knives I'm really open, but I have been digging anything by Sean PErkins, Fred Perrin, Szabo, Strider, etc etc. Email me and we can chat!
Turnaround time on the knife would probably be 2-3 weeks, maybe less, and will include a multicarry Concealex sheath (have some options there, too!). Here are some pics of other recent work:
