Was trying to sell this but before I take it to auction I thought I might try and trade it for some useful blades that will allow me to sell other knives I have.
According to Mr. Mosier he only made 2 of these. One was satin finished and this one was hand rubbed. He also said he'd never hand rub a blade this large again as it was FAR too labor intensive. So I consider this one to be the more desirable finish of the two as it was done by hand. Here is a quote from the email he sent me...
"I do remember making that one for a guy in Desoto, Kansas. I cannot remember the exact year, but it has been at least ten years since I made it. The steel is S30V and I believe I have only made two of those, one was a satin finish and then yours is the handrubbed finish. I swore I'd never hand rub a blade that size again, an S30V to boot!!

It's about 3/16ths thick with around a 11.5" blade and is lightening fast. This thing would make an awesome jungle knife and would make one hell of a head remover simply because it moves so quick, is well balanced for a knife it's size, and is razor sharp. Who can deny the cutting power of a large bolo style blade? It ain't gonna rust and has crazy wear resistance for those of you who understand the properties of perfectly heat treated S30V. It's an amazing piece. It's the only one like it. Nice Kydex sheath too. Unused, has some kydex marks but other than that... it's a safe queen. Has diamond pattern (like knurling) file work on the butt which I thought was cool... make a nasty impact weapon on the bottom. The lanyard in the pic is gone. And I'm not sure if I can find the little belt loop guy that was screwed to the sheath. Wasn't all that great anyway. I'll see if a tech lock can fit on it. Jungle assault knife, all purpose chopper, camp knife, zombie killer... you name it this one does it.
I can get better pics if anyone needs them.
What I'm after...
1. I would really like to get either a Busse CABS or SCABS (either the one with no choil or small choil if I have the names right)
2. Would also give high trade value to a Busse Police Recruit (I'd actually prefer one of the thinner ones to a fatty but I ain't picky)
3. Will consider other Busses big and small.
4. About the only Swamp Rat that interests me is the Rucki
5. Nice wilderness/bushcrafty knife in a robust stainless like S90V or even S110V. (Please no scandi grinds) Skeleton Handles welcome.
6. Guns (Especially a Glock 19)
7. Guitar stuff (I'm super picky about this so it's probably a long shot)
8. Gold and Silver
9 Strider Folders
10. CRK Large Sebenzas
11. Will also consider blasts from my past like Cold Steel Magnum Tanto II, Seki SOG Tigershark (Non Serrated), Buck 184 Buckmaster.
12. And of course large quality blades (12" blades or larger... short swords, things like that) No junk please.
