I just had to satisfy my curiosity, and now I'm satisfied. It's a very nice knife, just not really my thing. This knife has only been used for a few pocket-assisted openings (thwACK...thwACK...thwACK). It's not been carried or used to cut anything, not even paper.
Does the wave "work"? In a word, yes. Here's my take on this issue: if your level of coordination is such that the wave does not work for you, you have no business walking around with sharp, pointed things in your pants. It works. I'd imagine the real trick is how to make it NOT work when you're around non-knife people:
"Hey Joe, can you help me open this box?"
"Sure Jim, I've got just the thing for that", THWACK!
"Jeet Swesus! WTF is THAT?"
Anyway, I'm not looking for anything in particular. I'm mostly a Spyderco/Benchmade folder type of guy. No combo or serrated edges please. And they don't have to be NIB, but at least in very good shape. I don't mind a ding or a scratch, but I'd like to know about them before we seal the deal.
Thanks for looking.
