Without going into variations, as I already have some - I am looking for another NW and a user is okay (read on)....
First off, this qualifies as a user...The etch has faded, it has been carried and seen some modest use. There are no awful scratches nor dings, chips or burrs. The action is beautiful and the blade is nicely centered. A very nice, well kept example with gorgeous scale color & it comes with a tube.
The pics speak for condition. The most noticeable difference from new is the blade surfaces, for which I have provided two close-up pics. These show the character of the surface and possibly some tiny dots (?) high up on the pile side. It is not super-sharp, but not bad - which (to me) indicates light use but not a re-sharpening/alteration of the bevel.
