I'm pretty sure you have to be a Gold Member to get PMs. You basically have two choices, allow members to send you email which doesn't allow them to see your actual email address until you write back, or just post your email address.
 
Thanks again, sent you an email with pictures. I believe I have my BF account set up to except email from members, but I could be wrong. If not I will post may email to someone if they are actually interested.

No offense meant, but it is perhaps likely that you will be trading with someone who has a history here (feedback) which is normally a good indication of their ethical behavior in sales, buying and trades. You, sir, are the unknown, and should agree to send your knife first. This is written up somewhere.
I hope you enjoy your stay here. After a bit, you'll have built up your own feedback (reputation) and folks won't worry whether you're scamming them.

You don't sound like a jerk, you just sound like someone who is very cautious. Still, I doubt you're going to get any takers under those conditions because you're a new member with few posts. That's generally not how things work.

Back to the topic: what kind of backspacer does this knife have, and how long ago do you think it was made?

Thanks for the response. What you say, like Sonnydaze, is perfectly reasonable. Perhaps I am too cautious (goes with my line of work, unfortunately), and I will probably reconsider for the right offer.

To answer your question:
The knife has what appears to be a small piece of carbon fiber (could be G10) on the bottom third of the spine, dont know if spine is the correct terminology or not.. The rest is open space, so its basically open along the back. I dont really know how old it is as the guy I got it from got it from someone else. The only writting on it is "John Kubasek" on the blade. The knife is in great shape and is really a beautiful piece of hardware. I dont want it becuase its too nice for me to use and I really dont like having a safe queen.
