For Trade is a HUGE, rare Bowie made by Master ABS bladesmith Joe Keeslar. I waited for (2) years to have this knife made! It was made in 2008 and has never seen the light of day, except to have a light coat of oil rubbed on occasionally. The knife is apprx 19" overall with a 13.75" 5160 High carbon steel blade, Maple handle and a cast cross guard. At the time of completion Mr. Keeslar stated to me that he planned to make this his LAST Musso Bowie.
Joe Keeslar's was allowed to handle, weigh and photograph the historical artifact, and his replica is so precise that Joe Musso, the owner of the historical artifact requested that he make no more than (10) antiqued versions in order to avoid any future controversy. Mr Keeslar agreed to those terms on a hand shake deal and said so right up front at the beginning of business relationship. Thus mine is a "like new" version that could be antiqued by some one with the skills, or left to age on its own accord.
I will include a copy of J.R. Edmondson's 1993 Knife World manuscript of "The Brass Backed Bowie" pending his prior approval.
EDIT: Mr Edmondson has given his blessing and I will include a flashdrive copy of his manuscript.
Pictured with a CS Voyager to show relative size.
Trade considerations for Busse SHBM(s) & $$$$
