Hi, I'm looking for a good strong flashlight, but I don't know anything about them. I've got a few good folders and fixed for trade, and I'll trade down just to get a good one or maybe two.
But what I don't want is a flashlight with a burn time of less than 20 hours. Actually, I really want a strong LED light that has a burn time of over 100, if possible.
I'm not not ruling out surefire or non-LED lights, mostly because I really don't know much, Please let me know what you've got, and provide details. I don't speak Lumens or candlepower, I just want a good, strong flashlight.
Also, size DOESN'T matter, and in fact, I would prefer something just a little bigger so I don't loose it, but please include approx. size and diameter.
thanks.
.
Oh, and I would really like to be new, or maybe really close to being new.
thanks.

Really the only one with somewhat close to that runtime in a inova X5.Though arter about 20 hours you will probly want new batteries.

I already have a good one that has a burn time of like 200 hours.
It's the Impact. Pretty good already, but I want something even better.
Anyone else?

The impact is good but wont run nearly 200 hours.Manufactures greatly inflate runtimes. If you want something brighter it will always have a reduced runtime.

A 3D direct drive Luxeon light will be bright and have a very bright runtime of about a day and a full emergency runtime of about a month. Of course, if you use a 3D light to drive a single or a few 5mm LEDs, you'll have the king of runtimes. Its all about compromise: brightness....longevity....size.

I have a Blaster 3P+ (direct drive luxeon 3D) I might be willing to trade. Whatcha got?

I'm no authority on lights, (only had the light hobby for a few months)...
But- I haven't really seen a bright light that will remain so for 100 hours.
Anything running that long is going to be 5mm LED I'm thinking...
With that said, I might recommend looking at the following lights;

Mabye a hybrid would suit your needs? (Bright incandescent bulb for when you need a bit of spotlight for distance, and low power LEDs to conserve battery life and closeup tasks)
You might look at the Streamlight TwinTask series.
The 3C battery model might work for you.
Pretty bright running the incandescent (5 hrs)
Two LED modes (3 LED, 6 LED) at 160 and 100 hrs.
here's a review of all the twin task series lights

Or for an LED only light, there are a couple with extremely long runtimes (600+ hrs) from Lightwave (note, these don't make a beam that will go very far, but they will certainly light up a room or any close work
Reviews:
3C cell model (7 LEDs, 600 hrs.)

3D cell model (10 LEDs, 720 hrs.)

Sent you an email. Tell me what you got to trade. :) I'm looking for very good condition users.

I sell flashlights & have for quite sometime. I would suggest you go to
Streamlights website & look at the SL-20XP LED. It has both LED &
Incandescent capability & is rechargeable. You have long run time w/
not so bright a lite or a brite lite with less run time all in one.
I do not sell on the forums, hope this helps. Bob
