I've had it for about six months and it definitely operates as advertised. Never thrown. I've used the Spyderco Sharpmaker on it for the whole time and it's sharp enough for me. No scratches on the blade or the slightest speck of rust anywhere.
I just don't use the serrated part of the blade for anything and wish I would have gotten the full blade.
Mine is the one with the grey plastic handle or whatever it's called, and that's what I'd like in trade. Kind of specific, I know, but I really like this knife.
