I've got a NIB large classic Sebenza with Bloodwood inlays complete with box, birth certificate, and leather pouch. It is 100%, never used or carried. I would like to trade it for a Strider SMF folder. I am only interested in
2nd generation SMF's with the Hinderer stop. Knife must be new and have no lockup or blade centering issues. I have several pics I can supply upon request. If I don't know you and/or you don't have positive feedback on BF I will ask that you ship first. Please email me with questions/pic requests. Thanks.

Good luck with that. Typically, when you trade, you ship at the same time. Remember, the person you're trading with is putting their knife on the line, too.

I agree with you up to a point. I have zero problem shipping at the same time to someone with good feedback here or someone I have traded with before. In fact I have done so several times (check my feedback). However I don't think it is unreasonable to ask someone with no feedback or trade history to ship first especially when my feedback is easy to verify. If I were trading a $50 knife I may not be so cautious, however we're talking about a $450 knife. Thanks.

I have good feed back here, on ebay and on other forums. Makes no difference to me if it is a $50 knife or a $500 knife. If you both have a dog in the fight then you ship at the same time. I have recently had a fella not do that and won't deal with him again no matter what. He has good feed back too. Just isn't polite. Insure your knife when it is shipped and you should have no worries, at least that is what I have found. keepem sharp

BINGO! After Patriot24, aka Freebird or whatever he goes by nowadays robbed RRG and several other folks here I will not apologize for being cautious. I will say again, I have no problems shipping simultaneously with someone with an established trade history or who at the very least has a positive history.

I hate hijack a for sale thread, but I'm with you 100%. Have newbies ship first. They have nothing to lose and established members have a reputation and possibly membership fees that they are putting on the line. Not only that, since you're up front about it, no one can give you grief about when you decide to ship.

Walking Man, thanks for your understanding. I certainly did not mean to offend anyone. I know that 99% percent of folks in the knife community are trustworthy and upstanding. Read and replied to. Sebenza is still here. My first choice would be a 2nd Gen. SMF as stated, but I would consider other Strider folders in new condition too (with cash added either way to even the deal).
