Got a pair of Steiner 9x40 Big Horns here. Steiner doesn't make these anymore. They were made to the same specs as the Military Marine but with more power than the 8x30s and they gather more light for better viewing at dawn or dusk. Pretty sure they used to be part of Steiners Safari line, but they've since completely changed that up and the safari line doesn't have anything like these. I literally took them out of the box looked through them for about an hour, and then stuck them in my safe. Glass is crystal clear. No wear, no scratches, maybe some fuzz on the OD Green armor from sitting in the safe. Pretty sure I still have the box or these too. They have the attached objective covers and removable eyepiece guard. Very sweet optics, I just don't need them as I have a pair of 10X50s on the way. These are right smack in the middle of the 8x30 and 10x50. So if you ever figured the 10x50s were too expensive but the 8x30s weren't enough optic for you, here you go.
