Hello all. This is a super nice knife and I really like it... but I'm finding out that I'm a thumb hole guy and not a thumb stud guy. And as far as detent thumb stud type knives goes... this is one of the smoothest and easy to open I've ever encountered. I just like a hole in the blade. So I'm gonna move this one on before it sees any real use. That being said, it's been carried very little in my bag in a pouch (No pocket carry what so ever). It's been sharpened (didn't come real sharp). But has seen almost no use at all. It has one mark near the tip that you can only see at the right angle... And there is a bright spot on the corner of the flat on the other side where the blade touched my strop and polished up the bead blast. Other than that... it's mint. To my knowledge there is no other like this one. It has double texture that Jim calls "tree bark" and he said it was such a pain in the rear to do double texture like this he's not likely to do another.

I want to wind up with with either a high end folder with a thumb hole or quality fixed blade. My trade interests are limited as I'm not in any hurry to get rid of this knife at all. I'd be looking for something like...

1. Strider SMF (I can add some cash if you got an awesome one like the 3V model)
2. Maybe a Strider SNG but I really want the larger SMF.
3. Spyderco Manix 2 in S90V + a little something else
4. Spyderco Ti Military perhaps (if there is one with S90V blade that would be awesome) Plus something else
5. High End folder with thumb hole that I'm not aware of.
6. Busse Knives
7. Custom Fixed blades will be considered as well.
8. Quality Balisong

See here the mark disappears at a different angle.

here you can see the "polished" or buffed spot on the corer of the flat

Awesome knife. I wouldn't insult you with what I have for trade. Good luck. Someone will be lucky to own this.

Based on the shape of the blade and the bronze phosphor bushings, am I correct to assume this is s35vn and not cpm154?

It is CPM 154CM the most current offering, no blade play in any direction... when it locks it's like one piece.
