Would each BF get a CD full of pics from you guys of the trip. That area is sure is very pretty. Wish i never had to work and just travel all over and see the country

Is this still planned for the 23rd of August? I plan to request off from work to go, so just want to know the date in advance.

Alright, thanks. I'll tell my employer to give me that weekend off when I go in today. :D

I requested Thurs - Sun off, so it should work out. I also talked to someone I've skated with a couple times today who said he's been up there. He might join us, I'll probably know sometime in the next few weeks. He was curious about where we were parking and specific locations we'd be going to though.

Tell him thinking about hitting the Lions Head, Cabin Mt , Unamed View, Forks of Red Creek and Dobbin Grade

Wanted to kick this back up to the top.

Location:

Dolly Sods Wilderness Near Laneville WV

Dates: Meet there on 23rd camp night of 23rd and then hiking and camping 24 25 and come out of the woods on the 26th.

Great pictures man. I grew up in Michigan and roamed the northeast a bit. Since I headed west I've never been to that part of the south. Furthest I've been is Kentucky, Red River Gorge. It's a shame the US is so frickin' big! So many beautiful spots, so little time. that water looks like awesome fishing!

I plan on taking a solo motorcycle camping trip around WV and VA in July. Can anyone suggest good primitive camping areas accessible by the roads?

219 from Lewisburg north is one of the nicest drives I've ever had. There are many places to stay. 150/39 Scenic Highway west of Marlinton is great also. I always stay in the state parks. They have plenty of primitive sites and usually aren't full. Wautoga and Kumbrabow are nice.

Have fun!
