WV Hog round-up. lets plan it!

Woulda loved to have made it, brother, but there's just too much going on right now. Plus, my wife wants me around to celebrate the 30th. You know how it goes.

I have learned two things after talking to Trevor.

1. When a country boy says "just down the road", that means 10 miles.

2. If you Google: "Alpine Lodge, WV", the first hit gives the location as 100 Barnard Ave, in Elkins.

WRONG!!

It is actually 11 miles east of Elkins on Rt. 33 at Glady Rd. I called the Lodge, they have no idea why some search engines have them in the wrong place.

You guys will have a great time:thumbup::thumbup:

Remember to take lots of pics :eek:

Check out the Blueberry pie at the Alpine (formerly alpena) Lodge. If you go out the road right by the Alpena Lodge a few miles right there is the trail head for the Mylius trail in the Otter Creek Wilderness. It will take you up on top of Shavers Mt and some of the nices old growth timber in WV.

C'Mon HOGS!!???!?!?! There was a whole gang of you guys interested earlier. Is this weekend really bad for everyone or something?

Just a quick note to say a big thank-you to Trevor and Rhonda for a fun camping weekend. They decided to bring their three kids for their first camping trip, and I was the only Hog that made it. So it was like I got to enjoy the fun parts of camping with kids, without any of the downside ( kid falls in mud, falls in the river, falls in the mud again, repeat  ) The weather mostly cooperated, and it was a good time: with a little chopping, a little shooting, a little drinking.

pics later.
