This is a rare opportunity to own a professionally restored WW2 M3 Trench Knife. I originally purchased this knife from the estate of a WW2 vet; the knife was in rough shape so I decided to have it brought back to life. I handed it over to a talented knifemaker who replaced the original (dry-rotten) stacked-leather handle with a custom dark walnut handle that fits the hand perfectly. He also artfully re-used the original but-cap and guard, and left all of the original patina intact on the fittings and blade. Then the knife was give to a leatherworker who made a beautiful custom black leather belt sheath for it. A lot of time and skill went into restoring this blade, but the result is amazing.

$200 $190 shipped conus.

Is the user kabar roughly a Mark II with kraton handles and tanto tip, but roughly similar specs otherwise or is it completely different all around?

Is there something missing from the sheath where the hole/dimple is right below where the opening is, in the center there?

I suppose I could. I don't think these were meant to be razor sharp though as they are primarily a piercing weapon.
