WW2 Pacific Theatre

[2nd Cavalry]

Hello. Anyone ever seen one of these? Cast aluminum handle, hardest steel I have ever seen. I got it from my uncle, who had served in the Sea Bees, WW2 Pacific Theatre. I am trying to identify the original source.
(the blue/black tint is glare).
