Early 3rd pattern British Commando Knife with the heavy blade. The handle has the number 4 mold mark. The thick guard is stamped with the broad arrow and 42 on one side, and the England import stamp on the other. The pommel nut is untampered with and has Wilkinson Sword tooling marks on two opposing sides. The blade is intact and extremely sharp. The finish has been rubbed off. The sheath has been modified with cord wrap tying down the sew in tabs, and tightening up the sheath fit, overall. This sheath actually holds the blade securely. The belt loop flap has been completely replaced with heavier leather. By who is unknown, but I believe it to most likely be a post war mod due to it missing any import stamp. Overall this is one of the best fitting and feeling F/S knives I have owned. $165 shipped CONUS. PayPal or Venmo only.
