My grandpa let me have one of his knives today from his stash of them. I found out that this knife is a Clyde Cutlery World War 2 USMC Bolo knife. The sheath is leather and is stamped BOYT 42. I was wondering how much one of these knives would be worth, in the current condition (Not too good, handle broken and rust over the blade, along with a few nicks on the blade. See pics.)
Also, I was wondering how much this knife would be worth if I restored it (cleaning off the rust, fixing the edge, and replacing the handle.)

cant see the images, try taking them to a site like photobucket and routing it from there. congrats on the new knife though im sure itll be cherished. as to the price since you arent a platinum member or higher i do believe its not allowed.

They really aren't worth that much unless they are in super good condition.

I have one from my Dad and Father-in-Law.

There were five manufacturers.

Some say they are case hardened and can't be reground.

I reground one of them and have beat the heck out of it and it holds a mean edge.
