WWII era Kukri

This is a Kukri my father brought back from India, he was stationed there during WWII. It had been stored in the sheath for years and was in pretty sad shape. A couple years ago I took it to a local knife maker and he did a great job cleaning it up. Also did a pretty good job restoring the sheath given the shape it was in.

I'd love to see some chopping, if not for the historical significance..
 
That's gorgeous. I love the old military frogs they used to put on the scabbards. The knife maker did a great job cleaning it up.
 
I should add that the knife maker verified that this one was handmade by the Gurkha's probably from a railroad tie and wasn't manufactured for the British Army.
