I'll post it in the For Sale listing, but numer 6 is the only thing remotely like it that I own. I took it out and looked at it once when it arrived and it has languished since. Not willing to take a loss on it, but I am a custom folder, D/A collector.... just not my thing....

Thought I'd let you know here as well.

Brent, I think he is jerking people around to see who offers him the most money. It's been almost 5 hours and he has yet to quote a price.

I'm out.

I hope he gets what he wants.

Sorry rdnzl, I'm not jacking anybody around. I have all eight of your emails, several accusing me of trying to "bid up" this knife. If that is what you believe, then fine. In fact, only you and one other person have emailed me. Him once, you eight times. I spent most of the PM watching the Beavers wreak havoc and went to bed. I hope you get the knife you want and I hope I sell this one. Good luck.

Sorry if I offended you, but most people who don't post a price and then don't even quote a price in their replies. (You did reply to my e-mails) are just looking for a bid war.

I see you still haven't posted a price.

I'd a paid him what he's asking now, but he was messin' round. When someone replies to your e-mail and keeps stalling and stalling it's usually cuz he's trying to get better offers. Whether or not this is what he was doing, only he knows. I do know, this b*tch won't waste any time with him again.

Actually, in his defense, he didn't know what he paid, and emailed me asking for help. His dumb luck that I was on vacation! Anyway, give him a break. I think he didn't know what the going rate for WWIIIs were. So as an innocent bystander who failed to do his part, I think we should give the seller a break. Just my two cents.

Seems like he could have figured that out before posting. Not too many people post things without knowing what they need to get for them. Looks like he traded it for a Sebenza. Good for him

As it turns out (I have the emails) marcus paid 179$ and I paid him 250$ (according to his memory and my records...Congratulations marcus). Additionally, the apparent fair market value is now 250-300$ for this item. So, rdnzl may or may not would have wanted to pay me what I paid for it. I have traded it for what I think is about 300$ worth of value (we'll see).

I am mainly a buyer and a trader not a seller. C'est la vie.

Actually, it's quite uninteresting - it's what people are willing to pay for something. And I know of three WWIIIs that have changed hands since the original few were delivered (and we're still working on the others - THE BANE OF MY EXISTANCE!!), and they were sold for between $225.00 and $305.00. They still sell for $179.00 for those who pre-ordered.

Still seems to me that he could have sorted all that out before he posted it for sale.

It may well be a fine knife, but I doubt I'd ever pay $300 for one.

"Fair market value" is a term of art, well defined in law as "1] the price at which the property would change hands [2] between a willing buyer [3] and a willing seller [4] when the former is not under any compulsion to buy and the latter is not under any compulsion to sell, [5] both parties having reasonable knowledge of the relevant facts. Court decisions frequently state in addition that [6] the hypothetical buyer and seller are assumed to be able, [7] as well as willing, to trade and [8] to be well informed about the property and [9] concerning the market for such property." Recent transactions involving the unforced sale of similar property on the open market constitute probative evidence as to fair market value.
P.S. Number 1 ain't for sale, no willing seller here

Just for fun, have you guys got any DECENT pictures of one? I did a search and the ones I found don't show much detail.
