I've had good luck with them on each of my two orders. They had the lowest price on a Surefire L4 at the time, so I took the gamble. But each time I called ahead before ordering to insure that the item was in stock.

Despite my good luck, there are so many bad stories about them both here and elsewhere that I would be very reluctant to order from them again.

I tried search on www.botac.com before posting and it did not bring any results, but now I am all set.
I placed an order last Friday morning and five days later received e-mail that this is in backorder 2 weeks, so I cancelled.

Good move on cancelling.....these guys can cause a lot of mental strife and pain in general. They are not honest with their customers, have people working who don't know the products and play all sorts of games when the item is not in stock. Even if you have to pay a little bit more from a responsible vendor, the extra is worth it in saved time and saved mental anquish.

I belong to quite a few knife and gun related forums, and the bad experiences told definitely outweigh the good experience by 100s to 1.

Sad if their excuse is "limited people to staff their phones/internet."

IMHO, there are many other e-tailers that offer faster, more reliable service than Botach.

Botach needs to change their name to "A Shot In The Dark" or "Customer Care Is Our Last Priority."

Botach isn't worth the headaches that so many experience !
