I don't think the #X-47L set was offered that long, though I've not completely researched it. It first listed in 1961 in the SW catalogs. From 1964 on it seems to be the Staglon handled #X-47S version set offered in it's place. However, your set is a Sears Roebuck & CO. SFO set so it could have been produced slightly earlier or later as a special order for Sears.
At this point it isn't certain, but it looks more like the Schrade Walden dates for the #X-47L set would be circa 1961-1963. One might expand that for Sears sets and say circa 1960-1964.
I also question whether or not the axes themselves were made wholy or in part by SW. It seems that either they bought the finished blanks from another maker, or sold finished blanks to other makers.
