Keep your fingers cross and good luck! Nobody else is taking pre-orders, that's because they're all sold. There will only be a handful of people successfully get one from KC:cool:
 
I got an email back from KC, stating that it was backordered, and would ship in 5-7 days.

Looks like a template email, but I wonder what my chances of getting one are.

This is what I got yesterday in my confirmation email. Did tehy already take the funds from your account? Note the blank shipdate, that is what is on the email, empty field.

I got the same. I never purchased anything backordered before so I was pleasantly surprised when they emailed me saying that they won't charge the card until it ships. Oh man I hope I am 1 of 600. Seeing the foliage with the super neato steel made me almost forget about the smurf knife I missed out on! Now if I miss out on this one too, I'll be pouting for a while.
 
I just placed an order with KC - it's worth a shot! I got my blue Manix from them after most people were posting that there were none available anywhere. KC has always been good to me.

got that right! my dealer said he could get me one on pre-order. turns out it was a bust.

That was mine. The Manix was the only thing I ordered. But it just looks like a standard email they send out with anything backordered. They haven't taken anything out of my account yet.

That is indeed their standard email, they will keep sending it to you every week until the item ships or they send an email to apologize that they can't get it for you (happened when I ordered the disco'ed Captain.)

May and June? I pre-ordered it from the one place in Canada that has/had it and it is expected in their store around April 2. Maybe the early ETA is the trade-off for charging us $149.99 CAD for it.

Honestly, YCS is the last place I'd look for accurate information like that. However, you can take the quote below to the bank:

I would happily pay that amount and wait a couple of months.
 
I just placed an order with them over the phone, so hopefully I will get one as well. But they did say that the 5-7 days isnt accurate as they dont even know when they will be recieving them yet. Since its a pre order the 5-7 days is sent with every email but its wrong....
