XM-18 3" Flipper or non for duty carry?

I hope I will get more accustomed to the feel of this flipper otherwise I think I'd be interested in a trade for a non flipper.

I tried putting my finger on the choil but part of my index finger creeps over onto the blade.

A lanyard will help a bit.

As for finger on the choil, if you press backwards a bit on the opened flipper with your trigger finger while it's on the choil, it's less likely to touch the sharp edge. But it's your knife, your call.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it some time as you suggested. How will a small lanyard help?
Does it add a little more handle area so the hand sits a little further back and doesn't press against the back of the flipper?

On the 3", a small lanyard gives you a little something to grip with your pinkie. Knife feels larger and is more secure.
