I'll post a pic of me trying to do the same thing except...... it'll be trying to get an eyelash out of my eye - in the rear view mirror- while driving (backwards) now that'll make ya' cringe. Uh Huh.

Me too! I put an almost imperceptible scratch in the Ti frag on my 3" and it drives me nuts!! It's hard to see but I know it's there.. Scratching that textured Ti would probably make me cry, or at least say some unkind things..
 
You peeps are amusing me a bit.

If you drive your car/truck/SUV/etc it's likely gonna get a ding here/there, if you ride your motorcycle it's likely to layover (hopefully while you're not on it...but that happens too), the gear in your pockets will wear, the skin on your person will age, your hair will grey and so on....

If my Ti shows a little character, so be it.

I just went and looked in the box under my bed - my hair is still the same color. :)

I have a stonewashed textured Ti on my 3" that I carry daily, I am fairly certain that anything short of C-4 isn't going to do anything to that scale.
 
Couple years of EDC with "real" use and in a pocket with various flashlights - still look pretty good

Exactly, the smooth and/or anodized scales will show plenty of scratches and wear/tear, but the textured stonewashed Ti scale will always look the same to me.
 
Textured Ti is a Freak of Hinderer Nature - It's like an Aligator or a Turtle. 2 years old or 112 - Hard to tell :)

Definately a personal favorite as it is with many veteran Hinderer EDC'ers on here.
