I have a XM-18 3" flipper and the 3.5" (4th gen) flipper. I paid secondary price for each, since I don't "know" anyone. They are the finest production knife out there. The 3" is a bit too small for my hand, but then, so is a small Sebenza. The 3.5" XM-18 is basically the same size as a large Sebenza, although heavier and a thicker blade-steel in the Spanto design. Heavy-duty is what this knife is designed for. The 3.5" XM-18 has a grip-width of 0.535", contrasted to 0.455" for the large Sebbie. However, due to the 3D design of the XM's grip, it doesn't feel thicker.
In general, I would say that the Sebenza is the ideal EDC for casual stuff. The Strider is generally more heavy-duty, and then the Hinderer surpasses the Strider.
I've had about twelve CRK's and perhaps eight or more Striders in all folder basic designs. The Strider is built for heavy-duty and has a tactical design and appearance. They have a different personality than CRKs. The CRKs are more elegant, particularly the Sebenza, although the Umnumzaan has a tactical blade design, a thicker blade and is excellent. Of course, all CRKs are excellent.
Like the folks have said, if you don't like the Hinderer, sell it for what you paid. That can pretty well be said for the Striders and CRKs as well.
