Describe your take this Christmas!

I got an Izula 2 from my wife.

I got the books "Wildwood Wisdom" by Jaeger Ellsworth and "Shelters, Shacks, and Shanties" by Daniel Carter Beard from my parents-in-law.

What did you get that is outdoor gear / survival equipment and more oriented?

Yes gifts to yourself count. :D

My wife got me a Tikka T3 SS in 270. and my brother got me a nice gunsmithing screw driver set.

God's been good to me, Merry Christmas to all my friends on BF.

Scott

Edit to add: forgot the Becker BK2 I got myself.

Was blessed with some unexpected Christmas $!!! I was able to pick up a "Dale of Norway" Storebjorn Merino wool 'jacket' - can't wait to get it!!!

LL Bean commando sweater, 2 black North Face Fairfax sweaters, 2 pair of Darn Tough socks, a pair of Kakadu canvas cargo pants, 5 rolls of climbing tape, bag of chalk, a scarf... mm, think that's about it. Brother had the haul this Christmas, a Howatt Dreamcatcher, some custom fletched arrows and the whole trad archery kit-glove, stringer, arm guard, wax...

FMajor, you're going to fall in love with that thing :) I have the green one and my dad the black. What color did you get?

Wifey and the kids wrapped some stuff I ordered from Santa, all practical stuff this year.
Condor Golok machete
Spyderco Foliage green Delica part serrated
Blade-Tech Ratel
Micarta slabs for one of my Beckers
100' of Toxic Green para-cord.

On the less praactical side;
Wifey bought me a Swiss Legend watch but that's not going in the woods.

I got a marbles bolo, 2 Kershaw folders, and a cold steel axe. Also got 3 books, 2 flrom Cody Lundin and one
from Myke Hawke. Oh and a Condor necker.

My wife got me a new Vic SAK, love it and will carry it everyday. Also got a new coffee maker, that's just for everyday survival ;)

I got first benchmade a 551 griptillian SOG nw ranger leatherman super tool 300 and two fire steels and some other small things

It's a light brown with red looking accents. However, the description says "olive", sooooo olive it is! The fact that i was able to spend some unexpected gift $ really made it an awesome purchase (plus i really need a sweater!).

My better half put together a nice little surprise. A S&W 637 with Crimson Trace softies. Did not expect anything as we both have been having medical bills eat our play funds. I just got her a new piece of All Clad so I hope shes happy... But the 38 is saweeet. Needed something to rest my HK P7M8 which I need to have Hard Chromed. Im in the process of adjusting to a lost kidney that was damaged in a fall sometime ago and you appreciate the holidays a lot more when you have your health giving you a mortality check. Cherish the ones you get :-)

I got a Emberlit UL stove, and a GSI kitchen23 pack from my fiance, plus a bunch of other cash and gift cards from others.

I am on shift over at the plant right now but my wife gave one like this to me for Christmas right be fore I left the house. It's a Ruger stock photo but you get the point!!!

The point being...you have a great wife.

Pops just handed me a stocking with a Buck Paklite Caper inside. Have to say, the blade design is alot more attractive in person. I've got shop access at his place and brought some scale blanks home, so I may give 'er a set if I find myself unoccupied. Man, I need to invest in a shop... You can do so much with some space and a few simple tools...

I got me an Emberlit Stove this afternoon. Can't wait to get out and give this a try.

That is all that is outdoor related, but got enough money for a new metal cutting bandsaw. This will help with making outdoor gear.

Esbit pocket stove, Polartec micro fleece cap, shemagh, and a sharpshooter sheath with fire-steel loop for my bravo-1!

Big Chris, you won't regret the Emberlit. Pick up a bag of BBQ grill hickory chunks for fire building in it at home.

I got to make blue and green play-doh snakes with my three year old granddaughter. Ssssss! :D
