HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL! I can't believe it's 2011....I was born in the 50's and was promised personal jetpacks, flying cars by now....

Anyway, I guess the old ways are still good ways. Here's a classic drop point hunter/skinner/every day carrier with 5/32" 154CM and Rams Horn.

model IX
serial 258
5/32" 154CM Stainless Steel, full tang construction
my own heat treat
Rams Horn, black fiber liners
jimping
blade 3 1/8"
overall 6 5/8"
weight 4.1 ounces

This would get into a deer chest cavity real easy. This would carry nice for every day tasks.

195 plus shipping.

Eddie is this one good for not so big hands ? Is the horn fairly fat making it a handful ? Like i need a 3rd Model IX !

It depends on the task, but for example: If used in a chest cavity, the end is palmed and the finger jimping is utilized for the grip (plus the rams horn for grip).

for every day carry, it is a good useful cutter. I do like to keep the most of the horn on a handle as possible. in other words, it does have a fatness feel to it.

thanks,
eddie

 Very nice IX Eddie! I like how the left scale narrows a bit near the blade, like a natural thumb scallop. That must be very comfortable in hand, especially when choking up in a pinch grip for detail work.
