Sometimes it is just fun to make a large knife but my local customers like a knife that they can carry in the woods with them. After three gun and knife shows this one was still on the table. I hope there is a collector out there who would like a big knife at a bargain price.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Flat grind
Hand sanded to 600 grit
Professionally stabilized figured maple handle
Overall length: 15 1/2 inches
Blade: 10 inches
Weight: 14 oz
Hand sewn leather sheath

Nice STICKER thar Gerry, should sell quick. I am working on 4 damascus bowies and 2 fighters with 8-10 in blades now. Awful lot of grinding. Come over and show me your way. Mike

My way is probably the same as yours: grit your teeth and lean into the grinder. BUT, I still like riding those mountain roads out your way so you might see me coming up your driveway on the bike one of these days.
 
I think you need a closeup shot of that whole guard/ferule area, Gerry---some serious class on display here. :thumbup:

Got to handle this blade at the Wannemacher Gun & Knife show a few weekends back. Gorgeous knife - well balanced and a great feel. Easily the standout knife on Gerry's table. Probably picked it up and set it down 4 times.

Nice buy on this knife!
