I stroped the edge of my 7A and it came out real purdy. I finally gave it a good workout today. I had to cut a living room size carpet into strips so it could go into a box, for my Mom in law. The Emerson went through it like a lazer. Muked up the blade with the gray finish. It's really mine now!

How about the Lagriffe? What say you about sharpening that?

I use one of those DMT round ceramic rods (the ones that have plastic handles like a balisong)
Stroping it is just a case of using a rounded bit of pine or something charged
with compound of some sort or use a regular strop on the edge of a table or something.

Not that I know of, one of our members here Richard J has a few vids on the go but not for EKIs though.

I suppose it would be worth doing a few vids of some "ghetto" sharpening techniques for those intersted in a how to.

i'd be interested. the only knife i've sharpened is my crkt m16. it's razor sharp but it really isn't pretty.
