Congratulation Tony. Not only Shrek and HOG have layers like onion, cat has enigmatic appreciation of value too.

So are you going to put a compact set up on it or are you going with the traditional 53-39.
:o :o :o

That is the debate right now. I have been making a strong effort to ride more because for a rider -in this area- I'm a PIG. A lot of the good rides have a ton of climbing so I need to get my fat azz down under 160 to get around on a 39x25. When I actually raced I was 149-51 :o and I'd go anywhere with a 39x21 or 22.

So if I show signs of life by March then I'll use a 53x39 as that just rides much better. You know... when you drop off the big ring you don't have to make two shifts or more in the rear to keep presure to the pedals.

That is a nice bike... and the best part is that it looks like you ride it

I really do Love the color,,,,,,,that blue is so sweet. I bought my Lemond as a whole bike. 3 year old left over(real short money),,,,,assembled with entry level crap.Weighed about 25 lbs. So I stripped it,,,,,,,,,,, basically only bought it for the blue steel frame. Rebuilt it using state of the art stuff from that time period.Time carbon fiber forks, Campagnolo titanium seat post, mavic wheels , Newton deda bars cane creek bearings , Ultegra bottom bracket and gears,,,, etc etc. etc........ It now weighs about 17 lbs an a few ounces. It absolutely screws,,,,,,, gr8 handleing. Can't wait to see your finished build.Crank it Up !!!!!!!!!!!

Might be the worst steel you could think of for a tube set :p

.

I wanted a carbon fiber frame for my fantasy racer but at my current gravitational attraction they said I would have the carbon footprint of a modern metropolitan coal power plant!!!

Those sewn on tires had less pressure than my BP...

That is a nice looking frame. Put it to good use.

I do ride it Tony ,,,,,,,,,,, I also built it

My fat ass as of right now is @ 159 lbs.

No horses in the big city,,,,,, I play hockey,,,,, ride a bicycle (not in this weather),,,ride my motorcycle,,,,,,, always active and I eat like a horse,,,,fast metabolizm or something,,,,got me:confused:...lol. Best part about it,,,,, I'm not hiding sixpack abs behind a Keg

Not too bad for 49 next week,,,,,,,,,

Holy ISHT:eek:

I weighed more than that my freshman year of college. And I was THIN.

Hey RoNNiE...you sure your day job isn't riding horses?:D

You guys are horizontally challeged - I think I weighed that much in 3rd grade

At one point I got down to 137

At that time I remember riding over a bunch of passes one day in the Sierras south of Lake Tahoe and on the final climb, after about 85 miles, sprinting to the summit to beat a guy. Of course I couldn't ride a flat road in wind to save my azz. At the time the total bike & body weight was under 160. Now it is 194; and now it all just don’t go up hill so fast :o

Like, overweight is something to aspire to?????,,,,,,,,,,rofl

I weighed 189 4 years ago when the wife an I returned from our winter vacation. I went to edit our photo's and did'nt like what I looked like @ 189. Dropped the fat within 6 months and have maintained it. I also have slightly low blood pressure and low chloresterol . When you pass away ,,,, please leave all yer INFI to me,,,, thanks :D

Ummmmm.....I'm by no means anywhere close to being a expert on bikes, and I'm sure you've forgotten more about bikes than I'll ever know but.....

Don't these things work better with the round things that go in the back and front?

Congrats Tony!:D
