I'm jealous. My next dream would come true if I had I mill.

You probably hear this a lot but I'll say it again anyway... You Suck! :eek:

Just kidding brother. Nice Score!

Is that a 6x26? that would be a great size for my shop. Be prepared to spend lots on tooling LOL.

Great Score! I have the HF 6 x 26 version and love it. Just the right size for a small knife shop. Plus its a knee mill, a big plus IMHO. Looks like you have the majority of the tooling you will need and use other than a supply of end mills.

Have fun with it and be safe,

Ken

The 6x26 would be a great upgrade for me. Grizzly sells one with power feed but the price has gone up a bit. I keep my eye on craigs for something like it. That mill will do you great for knifemaking good luck with it.

got the lathe also 200.00 + two billets got it home yesterday, turned and drilled my first two barrels from some damascus i had made just waiting to make into a muzzle loader pistols one a .410 shotgun pistol and one a .22 pistol OK now its a 32.or 36 cal broke the drill bit half way threw spent 4 hours trying to get it out got it out but now we are making it larger i have round ball molds for 32-36 cal. . now i have to start making all the other parts . just way to much fun.pix's later

what is a knee mill mean ? and IMHO ? i'm new to these things i've be using a friends but its 7 foot tall LOL

and the press is working great making lots of billets.

A knee mill has the ability for the table to move up and down while the head remains locked. On most round column mill/drills if you unlock the head to raise or lower you will lose the zero as it pivots around the column. Of course you raise or lower the quill to get your depth of cut on a round column mill/drill while you raise the table on a knee mill to increase your depth of cut. On most knee mills you have the ability also to tilt the head left to right and in the case of a Bridgeport and its clones up and down giving many compound angles. Most round column mill/drills do not have this ability.

Does yours have the "one shot" lube system? Mine does not, I have to lube each point manually. I also hate the color of mine, much prefer the Grizzly color or gray.

IMHO= in my humble opinion.

Hope this helps!

Ken
