Yangdu arrives in Nepal - Vishwakarma Puja ceremony

It strikes me that the kamis and their families are happy people.

With the hardships Nepal has endured in recent years, even considering life there couldn't have been 'easy' to begin with, it is inspiring.

I hope Ms Yangdu enjoys her visit and it remains a safe and happy time for all.

So, are the Kamis going to fill us in the secret steps of the Khukuri dance? On second thought, maybe it's better that I don't get any ideas on dancing with sharp objects!

I'm sure we all can manage to do the Khukuri dance provided there is no or very little alcohol involved!:p

Great photo's and its good to see all having a good time.

Ted please don't stress over DOTD ...just do a double one tomorrow!;)

It's always good to see new photos of the kamis. It's also reassuring somehow that we North Americans aren't the only ones that enjoy horsin' around with swords! :D

Thank you for the help, Ted

I would like to donate to the gifts-fund before the next trip. Looks like a great bunch of folks over there.

Great Idea, Brad!!
Maybe "passing the hat around" would be a Neat idea....
Comments, People?

I spent a fair portion of my early teen years on that side of the World, and things can really be snug for them.

Quick slightly off-topic question...If Yangdu's in Nepal, who have I been trading e-mails with the past couple days? I'm still a relative newcomer and not familiar with everything yet.

She is back now. She was gone for about a month and I was watching the shop, although I was sick most of the time.
