Those are close, but I would really love a more faithful reproduction... what those show me is they have the ability to do it though.

arghhh! , y'all have made me aware i ain't got no pics of my gladiolas, so i'll throw in one as a distraction.
top 3c spatha, bone grip, brass guard plate.
centre fulham style gladius, brass guard, properly peened on pommel, grip is wood and bone.
bottom early pompeii style with pointier point than most, non-traditional steel guard plate & acorn nut on pommel.

They are all nice but I _love_ that middle one. Beautiful work.
Mike, I have a pair of Tarwars, but that wood on yours is stunning. Any idea what it is? I know the tru-oil treatment can change the look significantly. Did it start out as sisau maybe?
