Don't think they've over forested Nepal yet so hopefully a wood handle one could be a reality. Can you see the kamis with a CAD drawing? Noted in the latest issue of Tactical Knives that Chris Reeve, modern knifemaker wrote a piece about handmade knives. His position was to use the latest technology like CAD and CNC machining. He's right in a technical sense that with the high tech you can control the process such as tempering down to the percent on the RC scale. But so what! The kamis have quite a history and if it works why change it?

P.S. Please don't get mad at my sarchasm here. I realize that the forests in Nepal are in danger of being over forested. I just hoped that there was enough left for a few AKs.:rolleyes:
 
I would be all OVER a 12 inch wood handled AK. Maybe somebody's listening...;)
