10/10 25" 4.5 lb 1/2" thick AK by Kumar. Only thing wrong is a grainline in handle that might need a little super glue in 2 or 3 years. We'll deliver this to your door for $150 -- $100 off regular. 9" long 1/4" thick karda is worth $75.

Nice strong 20 inch two pound Sirupati by Kumar. Shouldn't be in the blem box. $75 delivered.

Somebody grab that AK!! I've grabbed too many recently, but it's painful knowing it's out there.

Oh yes....

Hopefully I've made that point already.

I wonder if Uncle will be getting any 30" AK's anytime soon...

I hope I haven't jumped the gun here, but I think the kobra is mine. When Bill had his half price sale some weeks back, I emailed Bill that I was after a 21-23 inch Sirupati or Kobra at under 27 ounces in weight. Bill sent me a beautiful Sirupati. It just shows it is worth the effort to get up at 3am. This now completes the set I was after perfectly. We have a long weekend down under right now and its early Saturday morning. I am going back to bed. Goodnight all.:D

Wow, why is that 25" AK still sitting there? You really can't appreciate the awesome nature of one of the larger AK's until you hold it in your hands. Pics don't really do justice to the massiveness of such a blade.

That big AK looks like a good one too! Notice that Kumar likes to keep the edge bevels kinda thick, which is good on a khuk this size. My 25" is by Kesar and was made during the time when they were making the bevels thinner. My opinon is that a good heavy chopper like this should have stout bevels to take the punishment of hard use. Wouldn't use one of these as a scalpel anyway. Thats what that 9" karda is for. Horn handle,,,

Yeah, my 25"AK is by Kumar, and it's definitely stout. The karda is just huge--it would make a good hunting knife. I'll have to make a separate sheath for it someday.

You know thats where my 25" is just normal. The karda and chakma while very nicely done are just normal size or same as any 18" to 20" khuk. They do have the khuk bend in them which is a nice touch.

Hoghead-- that's weird. One of the things that really impressed me about the 25" AK (aside from the massive blade) was the sheer size of the chakma and karda. Is your AK an older model?

Bill-- You're going to love that 25"-- I think it's the only knife that makes an 18" AK look small:D

Josh,
My 25" AK is an older model. The 30" AK by Sher which is only 3/4 lb. heavier than the 25" above has a huge karda and chakma. The karda is almost exactly the same size as a Ka-Bar USMC knife! . Think Bill will enjoy the one he just snagged. Good choice.
