Yangdu's blems for 6/6 -- pix & steals.

Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to delivery! But I doubt that I'll be able to comfortably swing this giant. My 20" is almost too much for me to use for any length of time.

Regards,
Bill C.

Bill-- you'll get used to it. After swinging the 25" around for a while, the smaller ones will feel weightless. Also, while it is harder to swing than some of the smaller models, you get more work done with each swing, so it all evens out in the end

Course, if he REALLY doesn't like it, there are adoption agencies that specialize in cases like this. Aardvark's AK Adoption Association, to name a few.

I'd never put it up for adoption. I'm sure it'll help build up the muscles in my right arm and wrist. (My right arm is twice as big around as my left arm already...probably from playing and teaching tennis for twenty five years.)

Regards,
Bill

It's just envy, Bill (and waiting to pay for 14" BDC and Foxjaw Fighter). Hope you enjoy your new prize.

I'm sure this 25" AK will be right at home with all his brothers and sisters who already live at my house!

Regards,
Bill

E-Mail sent on BAS...
I've never held, had or used a Khukri, but want to try...:D
Is the BAS my best choice? I want to use it in the yard: branches, vines, brush, etc...
For $50 shipped, I don't think I can go wrong...;)

The BAS is a great choice for a first khukuri, and you got a great deal on this one. Enjoy!

Bobby, the BAS was my first choice and you will find it to be very useful. I had an unwanted Chinese Elm tree in the back yard. The main trunk had grown to around 4 inches. I was kind of disappointed that the BAS was able to cut it down so quickly...seemed like a matter of seconds. Maybe it was just that I was having such a good time.

Ben

BAS is an excellent knife. At $50 I think it's the best buy in cutlery, with the possible exception of one of the $5 Moras or opinels. For light brush, one of the sirupatis or kobras might be better, but the BAS will certainly get the job done. Don't be afraid to hone the edge to razor-sharp!

Tell us what you think when it shows up, and welcome to khukland!

Now add in the Sirupati by Kumar and you'll really be able to keep the yard up. The siru's are really nice to work with. They're light, but gutsy and work great.

Thanks guys, but the BAS was gone... :( :grumpy:
Maybe I will look up the other suggestions y'all made!
I just GOTTA try one of these!!!:D  :D

Fair warning I guess.

But you should be aware
that once you start down the path of the khukuri,
those SOG blades
are going to start looking.........
Well........
..............cute.

:D

Bobby, try one of the sirupatis. Can't go wrong here. Uncle Bill will exchange khuks if you get one you don't like. Haven't sent one back yet.:)
