The line is getting blurred on Village Specials, Junges, and Samshers. We had several distinct styles, and then saw a Junge with a full tang and buttcap. All the previous Samshers have had that as well, but now we have a definite full polished Samsher blade and a trad. Junge handle. Basically, a Junge except for the shorter sword of shiva.

Interesting variants by Bura. And a great price as well!

BTW, that is only the second Chiruwa BAS I have ever seen. I have one by Sgt. Karka. Makes a strong little knife.

Federico and I have been keeping an eye out for a nice blade to give to our Eskrima Guro when he comes for a seminar in September. I can't get the pictures to display. Arghhhh! The clock is ticking on us!

Hasiya, Kumar Karda gone.

Whatever you call it, that Shamsher is a beautiful khuk. I've got foam earplugs in to ignore its siren call.

Wish I could stop looking at it....

I might have to grab it sight-unseen. is there a similar blade, so i have an idea of what i'm buying? Also, what is a Bag Bhairab?

just tried to email it to you, GGTIA, but you're "not receiving emails" on your profile...

I think the buttcap in the blowup is on the M43, yes?

Yes, sorry, I meant to say traditional Junge handle. Edited it to read correctly. The hill walnut chiruwa handle w/ buttcap shown is of course the M43.

And Dhunter, if it is still around, snag it quick. Trad. bolster, no cho creep at all, a beautiful junge / dui chirra handle on a highly polished samsher style blade. I like my Bura samsher with chandan handle, but it has a habaki bolster. This is really a nice blade but too much like my Junge to justify spending more $!

I had my wife send the pix to me. After consulting with my instructor, email has been sent on the Bag Bhairab. Thanks to all for your help and advice!

I'd like to get the M43, but my emails to Yangdu keep bouncing!
Is there another address I can use?

If you're using this one... himimpnospam@aol.com I don't know what to tell you.
Remove the nospam to make it work. I put it in to keep the ebots from dragging Miss Yangdu's email through the spam.;)

Norm, I like your eye. You're watching as these blades develope and it helps me and others to note the progression.

HI has never had more variety. I don't think they've ever had more beauty, either.
