Yangdu's moving saga.

I've made my annual trek to Reno this year but if Yangdu calls and says come, I'll be on the road immediately.

I agree with stwm, we could assemble a force to be reckoned with.

Hopefully once the shed is sorted out everything else will fall into place.

Yangdu is a force to be reckoned with in herself and her family is quite an army in itself. One I'd most certainly like to belong to as opposed to competing against.

We know you would B'Man as would others, she has many big brothers. I offered to help before she began but, graciously she declined. Probably because she didn't to inconvenience, little does she know of her ranks or maybe she does, it's irrelevant.
I like a wee bit of psychological manipulation. I have enough Model 12 and 97 trench guns with the appropriate 1917 bayonets to arm a few squads. I just need more trigger fingers, I gots the G&A for those who apply.

Wink, wink: We all know this is theoretical and not in anyway a threat for obvious reasons, eh?
:D

Who in this group would need anything more than HI products for that theoretical situation? ;)

Nobody really. Certainly Auntie and her family can handle their own especially considering their lineage. It's just nice to know you have friends IF you need them.

It's difficult to defend against sneak attacks even if you're on the alert because you don't know when, where, how or who. And if you make a mistake and behead the wrong person, you are in deep trouble. In fact even if you behead the right person, you are in deep trouble.

That said, I have no doubt that Yangdu and her family can defend themselves as well as anyone.

I remember Uncle Bills story of an unwanted snooper at Bir Gorkha who was confronted by ten kamis with hammers and khukuris and quickly left after reading the writing on the wall.

I've always loved the 97 especially the trench gun. Never owned one but handled a few, worked on a few and bought one for a coworker back in the day when I had disposable income.
When me or mine or even just underdogs (damsels in distress) are involved I turn barbarian too.

Man, I think a few of us could toss up that shed in no time. Moving is a pain. HOAs are the worst. I have to deal with them a lot in my line of work. You have to know who to talk to, what information to give, what information to omit (;)), and who requires the lubrication of flattery. In short, it's politics.

Smoke up!

Good Morning to all

Moving has not been easy but now I am settled. Bob and Patrick is putting a Khukuri shed together and with some luck I will have the shed ready for Knives this evening.
I will post the DOTD shortly.
Thank you all for being patience

I love both the 97' and 12' especially the trench but the riot version as well. However, there's not much either WWI or WWII I can't find likable. The only negative to the 97' for me, is forgetting not to rack the pump at waist level. If I do the bolt will take the top off my thumb knuckle every time. Being an armorer you know nothing destroys bluing much faster than blood, not to mention it really smarts.

I'd like clarification on something... Was it lime (sodium hydroxide) or a lime?

Because if it was soda lime that is a very serious crime. Its assault with a caustic chemical, basically assault with a deadly weapon.

Great question and why I inferred what I did. There's a big step between malicious conduct and assault with a deadly weapon. You're spot on Dirtbiker.

Submitting my application. I love the classics.
Maybe next years vacation time is for a khuk and tubular steel fondle fest :)

edit: I'd assume it was lye?? but honestly it'd be very difficult to know what it was. If it was CaO, Ca(OH)2, CaCO2, NaOH you'd really never know.
