I agree on Amtrack--I have a little 12" Siru by him and the thing makes a mill file sing along the entire edge except the last 3/4" to the tip!

I have 2 by him and both would NEVER bend. Like you say the hardened area seems to extend way farther than some of the others.

Never owned one by him b4, but always wanted one with the fylflot maker's mark. I've owned Sher, Sanu, Kesar, Kumar stuff to this point. You guys are making me feel like I made a good choice, and --
